Welcome to the Persian Cultural Association!
The Persian Cultural Association was established in 2022 in Sacramento, California, with the aim of uniting Afghan immigrants scattered in and around Sacramento. Proudly, this association has over 200 member families from various provinces of Afghanistan. Our primary goal is to create a united and strong community for all Afghan immigrants in Sacramento.
One of the significant achievements of the Persian Cultural Association is the establishment of a mosque in one of the key and densely populated areas of Sacramento where immigrants reside. This mosque serves as a religious and social center, providing a place for Muslims to gather for worship and to strengthen the sense of solidarity among the association members.
The Persian Cultural Association actively engages in various cultural and educational activities. One of the important sectors of our activities is the education of women and children in Islamic religious sciences. Currently, nearly 100 women and children attend our daily classes. These classes are led by seven skilled and dedicated female teachers, aiming to enhance the religious and cultural knowledge of our members.
Celebrating national and local festivals is also a key part of the Persian Cultural Association’s activities. Every year, we enthusiastically celebrate national festivals such as Nowruz and Yalda Night, and religious holidays like Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Additionally, we commemorate national observances such as Martyrs’ Week, which is also celebrated in Afghanistan. These celebrations and ceremonies not only strengthen the communal spirit and solidarity among the members but also provide an opportunity to preserve and promote the rich traditions and culture of Afghanistan among the immigrant community.
In challenging times, the Persian Cultural Association stands by its members. We organize funeral and memorial services for those who have lost their loved ones. These activities demonstrate our commitment to supporting the members of the association in all phases of life, from joys to sorrows.
Thank you for visiting the Persian Cultural Association’s website. We hope that with your support and cooperation, we can create a stronger and more united community for all Afghan immigrants in Sacramento. Our goal is to create a supportive and dynamic environment for all members of the association, where every individual can grow and contribute to the advancement of the community.
